Please review our shipping policy below, especially the section on Temperature-Controlled Shipping (paragraph 4), as chocolate is a perishable item:
1. Order Processing Time
Processing times vary depending on what you order:
*BOK Collection (Cosmetics, Home Decor, Gift Boxes, Jewelry): Products from our BOK collection that do not contain chocolate will be processed and shipped within 24-48 hours on business days.
*DUO BAR CHOCOLATE: Orders containing chocolate are processed within 4 business days (Tuesday to Friday, excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email to ensure we can prep them for safe, temperature-controlled transit.
*Mixed Orders: If your order contains both BOK items and DUO BAR CHOCOLATE treats, the chocolate processing time (4 business days) will apply so we can ship everything together safely.
Order Cutoff: Orders placed after 11:00 AM EST will begin processing on the next business day.
2. Domestic Shipping Options & Rates
We offer the following shipping options within the United States. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location and the weight of your order.
* P.O. Boxes: We can ship to P.O. Boxes using Standard Shipping only.
3. Local Delivery NJ & Schedule
We are proud to offer Local Delivery to our neighbors in Bergen County, NJ and nearby (total 43 postal codes): Alpine, Fort Lee, Tenafly, Ridgefield Park, Montclair, Ridgewood, Moonachie, Nutley, Edgewater, Hoboken.
- FREE Local Delivery: On all orders over $50.00
- Flat Delivery Fee: $7.00
- Delivery Schedule: Orders does not containing chocolate and Gift Boxes are typically made within 1-2 business days Mondays - 11AM-5PM, Tuesday - Friday 9AM-8PM. Orders containing chocolate - delivery on Mondays only - 11AM-5PM. You will receive a notification when your order is out for delivery.
* Note: Please ensure someone is available to receive the package or that there is a cool, shaded area for drop-off to prevent melting.
4. Temperature-Controlled Shipping (Crucial for Chocolate)
Due to the perishable nature of chocolate, we take special precautions to ensure your bars arrive intact, but we require your cooperation.
A. Packaging
* During months where temperatures are above [64-72°F or 17-22°C] at either our location or the destination (typically May through September), all orders containing chocolate will automatically include specialized packaging.
* This packaging includes insulated liners/frozen gel packs to maintain a cool temperature during transit.
* A surcharge of $5.00 will be applied to all orders containing chocolate during warm months to cover the cost of these materials.
B. Warm Weather Shipping Recommendation
* We strongly recommend selecting an Expedited or Express shipping method during warm months (May – September) to minimize transit time and the risk of melting.
* Shipping Schedule: We usually hold orders until the following Monday to prevent packages containing chocolate from sitting in non-air-conditioned warehouses or delivery vehicles over the weekend.
C. Risk of Melting
* DUO BAR & BOK is not responsible for melted chocolate if you choose Standard Shipping during warm weather or if the package is left outside upon delivery.
* If your chocolate arrives soft or slightly melted, place it immediately in the refrigerator for 2 hours. This will restore its texture without compromising flavor.
5. Tracking Your Order
When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will contain a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.
If you haven't received your order within 7 business days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at b2b2c.co@outlook.com with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.
5. Damages, Lost Packages, and Missing Items
* Damaged Packages: If your order arrives damaged, please take photos of the package and its contents immediately and email us at b2b2c.co@outlook.com within 24 hours of delivery. We will work with the carrier to file a claim and determine if a replacement or refund is warranted.
* Lost Packages: If tracking shows your package was delivered but you have not received it, please check with your neighbors or apartment office. If you still cannot locate it, contact the shipping carrier (e.g., USPS, UPS, FedEx) first, and then contact us for assistance.
* Incorrect Shipping Address: If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect or undeliverable address provided by the customer, you will be responsible for the cost of re-shipping the package.
